Frequently Asked Questions for OSB®

1. How do I know if I am a candidate for OSB®?

  • For a preliminary ruling, download the following document to answer: OSB Candidacy Questions
  • If you feel that you have answered ‘yes’ to the majority of the questions, you may be qualified as an OSB patient.
  • For further determination, find a OSB practitioner to schedule a consult.

2. Who is qualified to be an OSB® practitioner?

  • Doctors can become qualified as OSB practitioners after a series of courses and upon meeting specific educational and practical requirements.
  • A OSB practitioner receives training in Tacoma, Washington. The doctor must have at least completed cases supported by patient data and testimonials. The OSB practitioner should be equipped with official OSB equipment to deal with OSB patients.

3. I don’t live near the Fredericksburg, Northern VA or Richmond area, how do I find a certified OSB® practitioner closer to where I live?

  • Patients who want to locate a licensed OSB practitioner or want more information on OSB Therapy may call 1-800-977-1945
  • We also make provisions to see people to visit here for a week and receive OSB care while staying in the area.

4. Do insurance companies cover OSB® therapy?

  • Coverage of OSB therapy depends on how the insurance policy is written, but usually there is partial reimbursement for certain procedures.

5. How does Oral Systemic Balance® differ from Oral Appliance Therapy?

  • Oral appliance therapy oftentimes treats one specific symptom (ie snoring) and has a limited systemic effect on the body. Individuals’ receiving the Oral System Biology therapy are receiving benefit  to the body as a whole.
  • Essentially, OSB therapy reduces many symptoms which results in an overall improvement in aliveness and vitality.

6. How long does overall OSB® treatment take?

  • The entire process depends on each individual's needs and symptom set-thus the overall duration of OSB treatment is highly variable.

7. When will I see results?

  • Many people see results right away.  Some move slower than others.

8. How much does OSB® therapy cost?

  • After the consult and initial analysis of the patient, a treatment plan is determined according to individual needs.
